Job Title:  Exercise Planner


Job Location:  Ft.  Meade, Maryland

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical research, analysis, and recommendations for JFHQ DODIN to conceive, de-velop, execute, and support joint Event Lifecycle Events including COCOM exercises, cyber experiments, risk analysis, technology demonstrations, and scenario development/synchronization.
  • Conduct post-exercise lessons learned studies. Specifically, they shall provide Cyber analysis required for JFHQDODIN J7 to: develop COAs in response to CYBERSPACE training objectives; provide participation in or reach-back to JFHQ DODIN White Cell during cyber exercises and provide analysis for threat mitigation requirements and capability development.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and produce orders for Exercise Participation
  • Provide guidance and input for tool capabilities and implementation

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7 years experience in Planning or related field
  • Previous exercise and Table Top (TTX) experience [per CJCSI 3500.03D, Table Top Exercises (TTX) occur in the individual portion of the Joint Training Plan and could serve the training requirements of two joint training audiences.
  • The first training requirement is the training of new arrivals in their command orientation and indoctrination tasks and complete initial position qualification task training. This training is commonly completed within the first 30-60 days on station, followed by some
  • periodic currency or proficiency requirement.
  • The second broad individual joint training requirement is recurring training for experienced command staff members.
  • This is follow-on training conducted to improve individual staff member competencies in functional or job specific areas and tasks or to sustain the required level of proficiency.
  • These follow-on individual joint training audiences tend to be smaller audiences with increased subject matter expertise or supervisor instruction using small group discussion, table top exercises, or computer supported interaction. Examples include weekly one-hour dedicated functional training time periods or monthly command training days
  • Deliverables: I097 - Provide lessons learned studies and document in automated systems (gov training provided for systems input), I098 - Attend meetings and document action items

Desired Qualifications


  • Prior military experience in intel or cyber security desired.
  • profecient in microsoft office software/public speaking/reporting/presentation skillset is desired.


  • Bachelors in IT or Cyber skillset is preferred but not required.
