Job Title:  Systems Access Request Administrator


Job Location:  Scott AFB, IL


Security Clearance:  Secret (upgradeable to TS)

Job Responsibilities

  • The candidate will participate in an Information Assurance security team that provides customer service support activities
  • Interacts directly with clients via telephone and email to resolve system authorization and access problems
  • Responsible for a wide variety of highly detailed, moderately complex security activities with an emphasis on solving customer access requirement issues and gaining necessary approvals.
  • Problems may span a range of issues or areas. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with thorough analysis of the issue.
  • Approximately 10% of the job will require domestic and international travel. All work is performed based on service level agreements (SLA) and customer defined Accepted Level of Performance (ALP).
  • Candidate is required to support the development, documentation and tracking of measurements and metrics relevant to the ALP's


  • Be able to work in a rapid paced environment and must be able to work independently.
  • Documents and tracks DISA customer requests and queries regarding System Security Authorization Access (SAAR) requests.
  • Coordinates personnel security approvals, SAAR approvals, transmits, and files SAAR requests.
  • Establishes procedures in support of worldwide customers; functions as support staff and provides technical guidance and training.
  • Provides functional guidance and quality assurance/quality control to Level I personnel.
  • Evaluate, analyze, develop and improve automation procedures and requirements.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 2-4 years of overall related experience. 4+ years of additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Familiarity with Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS).
  • Individual must have basic knowledge of information systems security and personnel security standards and procedures.
  • Individual must have excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task and quality control records management experience.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, and Sharepoint. 
  • Ability use Adobe Acrobat Pro to create and edit Acrobat documents.
  • Currently possess an active Secret security clearance and the ability to acquire a Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certified


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline

  • Secret (must be able to be ungraded to TS)
