Job Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of integrated government/contractor team of technical and functional (training) experts in the conduct of Global Command and Command System – Joint (GCCS-J) administration and training; software application testing and operation of all available on-site GCCS-J applications in support of the U.S. Army Central (USARCENT) GCCS-J architecture and real-world mission requirements.  Provide onsite support to the Server Maintenance Team and the Global Command and Control System (GCCS) Technical Support Team.  Prepare, update, and maintain current version of training documents of all on-site GCCS-J applications.  Perform server checks on all GCCS-J servers for GCCS-J user products to ensure products are maintained and available on all GCCS-J servers. Perform current and upgrade version testing of client and applications features and capabilities to ensure quality end-user product delivered and available for end-user. Assist end-user and GCCS-J Administrators to resolution. Monitor track data on all servers via Agile Client to ensure quality COP data is provided to all end-users and identify all data issues to Techs for resolution. Identify common applications and client problems and performance to GCCS-J Administrators to facilitate early detection of incidents, impending outages or degradations.
  • The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring system availability and reliability of the Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) and related GCCS Family of Systems (FoS) on U.S. and Coalition networks.  The contractor shall be responsible for troubleshooting, configuration, and the implementation of existing and future versions of the GCCS FoS for GCCS-J end-users.  Coordinate with on-site GCCS-J Administrators on computer software and hardware problems.  Conduct end-user follow-on training and delivery of upgrades, enhancements, and new/ additional end-user services.  Perform any necessary actions required to respond to GCCS FoS end-user problem reports.  Perform operational testing/evaluation as on-site technical events are coordinated with other stakeholders (DISA, Joint Staff, CENTCOM, etc.) to determine suitability to field for future releases. Schedule, coordinate, and perform on-site training for all end-users; understand end-user mission responsibilities in order to tailor training to mission requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Position requires a minimum of a Secret clearance.
  • Operator / training experience Agile Client preferred or similar COP user tools; performing operator/user configurations on Agile Client/COP/Intelligence user tools. 
  • Understand fundamental GCCS-J/I3 architecture to enable proper end-user configurations.
  • Knowledge of operational and intelligence fundamentals. 
  • Have a good understanding of basic hardware configurations and client troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience performing operator configurations of GCCS-J Agile Client (or similar COP application) and the family of associated applications (e.g. ChannelWeb) or similar imagery and intelligence applications. 
  • Must have demonstrated experience with actual COP applications / tools or intelligence applications / tools in lieu of experience with Agile Client or I3 applications. 
  • Ability to integrate data from available GCCS-J applications to provide end-user with mission essential COP.
  • Demonstrate ability to evaluate and understand GCCS-J capabilities of clients, end-user applications and COP data in order to facilitate delivery of tools and capabilities based on end-user requirements and to make recommendations to on-site GCCS-J Administrators about incorporating additional data/end-user services, based on mission requirements, into the architecture. 
  • Critical thinking – ability to visualize and articulate client / user applications issues to GCCS-J Systems Administrators in order to achieve end-to-end systems solutions. 
  • Must be capable of understanding tasks related to military operations at the Combatant Command staff level.
  • Candidate must have or be able to obtain within the first 6 months the following certifications: CompTIA Security+
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior military experience with ICSF and/or Agile Client, or other related operational and/or intelligence gathering / all-source data applications.
  • Military or civilian experience with GCCS, especially GCCS-J.
  • Familiarity with GCCS-J and/or Agile Client software development methodology.



Security Clearance

  • Secret required.
