Job Title:  Circuit Actions Engineer


Job Location:  Kuwait


Security Clearance:  Secret

Job Responsibilities

Support and coordinate all actions relating to inter- and intra-theater circuits, including activations, deactivations, and modifications of circuits. Support the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provide management and assessment of Request for Service (RFS) submissions for accuracy, and generation of Telecommunications Service Request (TSR) submissions in accordance with DISA Circular 310-130-1 and 310-65-1 for Telecommunications Service Order (TSO) publication.

 Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for military leadership, providing feedback and recommendations for network engineering projects

  • Work with subordinate units to ensure Circuit Actions are completed in a timely fashion
  • Ensure Circuit Actions are reviewed to ensure no breaks in service occur
  • Provide detailed accounting and reports on the status of all Circuit Actions

Minimum Qualifications

  • DoD 8570.01 IAT-II Compliant
  • 5 Years of Circuit Actions planning experience in a DOD environment
  • Must be a US Citizen

Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with the following protocols and technologies, to include but not limited to:

  • System interfaces, fiber optic testing, and an understanding of how each component and switching device is integrated into the military strategic/tactical communications network
  • Satellite communications (to include understanding of transmission plan), PROMINA, Microwave Line of Sight (MLOS), tier networks, IP technologies, routing protocols, switching & routing IOS, OSI model, VOIP technologies, modems, fiber optics, IP PBX, VPNs, KG-175 & other network security devices, COMSEC, OPSEC, analog technologies, and modulation techniques

Fiber Optic Association (FOA) CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) or equivalent certification is desired


  • 5 years of professional experience in a DOD environment

Security Clearance

  • Secret
