Job Responsibilities

Provide development support for SharePoint services. Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the web-site.  Design and implement the installation of SharePoint sites, to include the execution of IA auditing tools and remediation of the SharePoint server farm, installing structured query language (SQL) Server database instances to support the overall SharePoint collaboration environment, and creating and maintaining backup and template SharePoint solutions. Use design documentation and ongoing guidance from DoD staff personnel to develop SharePoint solutions to streamline the flow of information. Provide designs and implementation for custom sites, lists, libraries, and views for those items. Use SharePoint browser-based interface and SharePoint Designer to customize site pages, cascading style sheets, and other formatting structures. Design, develop, and maintain custom SharePoint web parts and workflows within Visual Studio to support the overall collaboration mission. Provide support for the implementation of interfaces to applications. Working knowledge and experience in PowerShell is required. Knowledge of several of the following areas is desirable: ASP.Net, JavaScript, JavaScript, PowerShell, CSS, XML, DBMS's (ex. – Microsoft, Oracle, Sybase, etc.) and knowledge of SQL in SQL server. Work closely with the Active Directory and Virtual Machine teams or personnel to administer and maintain the SharePoint environment, and shall identify and diagnose problems and factors affecting user, server, and application performance.  Perform operational assessments of the existing SharePoint infrastructure and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for military leadership, providing feedback and recommendations for SharePoint development projects
  • Provide recommendations and suggestions regarding  hardware 
  • Provide Tier 3 Engineering and Troubleshooting support
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • MCSE SharePoint 2013 or newer equivalent or higher-level Microsoft SharePoint Certification
  • DoD 8570.01 IAT-II Compliant
  • Must be a US Citizen

Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with the following protocols and technologies, to include but not limited to:

  • Operation, sustainment, monitoring and maintenance
  • Farm topology/scaling; Capacity planning
  • SQL Database Administration; Database structures
  • Excel services
  • Search architecture
  • Backup/Restore
  • Permissions and audiences
  • Webpart administration
  • SharePoint Migration and migration tools; Backup/Restore of SharePoint sites and databases
  • Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer; ASP.NET; C# and PowerShell

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) 2016 Certification Desired


  • Bachelors Degree or a minimum 5 years of providing SharePoint development support in an enterprise environment

Security Clearance

  • Secret
