Job Responsibilities

Direct and lead preparation of drawings documenting configuration changes at each site. Prepare site installation and test reports. TCF installation and disassembly operations and maintenance support.  Ensure all products and installations shall be in accordance with Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) Standards. Prepare and submit an initial Engineering Installation Package (EIP) for approval prior to commencement of work for each project and shall submit a final EIP at project completion. Provide support to facilitate the installation of various types of cables, shelters, generations, HVAC, Mobile Power Systems. Tasks include: Providing access to buried communication cables and digging/chiseling trenches, Installing, testing, and removing aerial, underground, and buried multi-purpose communications cables to include coaxial and fiber optic cables, Grade and level site so there is no standing water, Install perimeter fencing, Site cleanup and restoration in accordance with United States Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC) Outside Plant Design Performance Requirements (OSPDPR), Outside Plant (OSP), Installation of OSP termination devices and associated grounding/bonding installation of ducts and conduits. Installation of ground/bonding systems into racks within TCF, Installing and conducting testing and installation of cables (fiber optic or copper) within manholes and conduit ducting systems, Installing, pulling, and testing fiber optics, copper, and coaxial cabling, Installation of communications pathways between shelter network systems, Performance testing and test documentation of all communications links and sub- links, Installing grounding systems for TCF, Installing fuel berm/containment/protection systems under fuel cells and generators, Install Generators and fuel tanks, Providing utility connections to Outside Plant communication systems. Connecting and testing generators for TCF and providing a report to the 335th SC (T) (P), Connecting and testing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) for Shelter A, B, Power Distribution, and O&M Facility and providing a report to the 335th SC (T) (P), Installation of air conditioning (A/C) power branch circuits for Network racks from panels to network equipment cabinet junction boxes and backboards. Installation of Shelters (A, B, Power Distribution, and O&M Facility) and leveled, Installation of landings, steps, porch, and vestibule. Inside Plant and TCF Installation, Installation of equipment backboards, Installing interior fiber optics, copper, and coaxial cabling.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 Years of ISP/OSP engineering experience in a DOD environment, with at least 2 years in the CENTCOM AOR, or
  • 5 Years of electrical engineering experience in a DOD environment, with at least 2 years in the CENTCOM AOR, or
  • 5 Years of HVAC engineering experience in a DOD environment, with at least 2 years in the CENTCOM AOR
  • Must be a US Citizen

Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with the following, to include but not limited to:

  • Copper, Fiber, and Coaxial cable installing and testing
  • HVAC
  • Electrical and power generation with a knowledge of power generators, UPS systems and power ATS
  • Knowledge of use of various cable and power testing tools
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment, to include cable reel trucks, trenchers, backhoes, chiselers, bobcats and 20k all-terrain forklifts, in the execution of communications infrastructure projects for this contract while adhering to Host Nation laws while having the appropriate certifications.


  • Current valid electrical, HVAC or OSP certifications or licenses

Industry recognized cabling certifications such as BICSI certifications desired
