    Job Title: Network Security Engineer

    Location:  Ft Meade, MD / Ft Washington, MD

    Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI Eligibility

    Job Responsibilities:

    Trace Systems is looking for a bright self-motivated Network Security Engineer to join a growing Enterprise Service Engineering team to design, develop and support high end routing and switching products. This role demands high standards for engineering quality, and a deep passion for customer success. You will be part of a fast-paced team where open communications, empowerment, innovation, teamwork and customer success are the foundations of the team. This is a Senior Network Engineer position that will be working with the core architecture/engineering/implementation team of bleeding edge technologies for the DoD space. This person is responsible for the design, implementation, and test of new network technologies. These advanced projects use technology with Cisco/Brocade Switching/Routing equipment, F5 Load balancing, Wireless, and VPN technologies.
    Daily Responsibilities to Include: 

    • Patch and upgrade and implement, security tools, NTP servers and firewalls.
    • Manage secure configurations on switches, proxy servers and firewalls at all locations.
    • Manage and support Cisco, Brocade, and other platforms in order to monitor, analyze and respond to security incidents and issues.
    • Work with vendors to maintain service contracts on all critical security systems.
    • Work with vendors and consultants to maintain security platforms through shared threat intelligence.
    • Support and maintain all security systems documentation (procedures, processes and vendor information).
    • Project Management of new security system installations and upgrades.
    • Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Work Experience:
    • Experience with designing, building, and monitoring routers and switches
    • Experience deploying and managing firewalls/routers.
    • Experience with deploying and managing multisite VPN solutions.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Required skills include switching, routing, bridges, BGP, OSFP, GRE, IPSec, VPNs. Our network shop consists of Brocade switching, Access layer Cisco, and Cisco for Encryption VPN technologies; Prepares complex workprints and schematics to define and illustrate entire network structures and solutions.
    • Following manufacture’s installation, and the ability to lift, rack mount, power up, and provide network connectivity for system and networking hardware and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure composed of Windows | Linux workstations, Windows 2008 R2 | 2012 servers, Cisco ASR1000x | Catalyst 2750/2950 | VDX Brocade switches, Cisco 7206 | 6509 routers, ASA 5000, network cabling, and peripheral equipment;
    • Experience with the Configuration Process.

    Required Certifications:  

    • ITIL v3 Foundation


    •  Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering).
    • A minimum of 8 years general experience of which seven years is directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
