    Job Title: Sr Systems Engineer*

     

    Job Location: Bahrain

     

    Security Clearance: Secret

     

    Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship required

    Job Responsibilities:

     

    • Support the modernation of DISA's efforts to migrate legacy communication equipment to IP based platforms
    • Configure long-haul telecommunications equipment and maintain cryptographic equipment.
    • Install new circuits per the direction of Government personnel.
    • Engineer, install and test TCF equipment to support new and emerging requirements.
    • Perform other duties as required.
    • Provide responsive services to include real-time transmission systems configuration control, circuit restoration, quality control and performance standards, and status reporting.
      The systems engineer will need to be able to support transmission equipment which includes: 
      • Routers and Switches
      • NET Promina
      • Cryptographic equipment
      • Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) Switches
      • Non Return to Zero (NRZ) to Conditioned Di-Phase (CDI) converters
      • Patch panels/maintenance panels
      • Modems to include Canoga Perkins and Pargain
      • Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers
      • Firebird 6000/8000, Cable testers, Multimeter, Oscilloscope
      • Other equipment and cabling necessary to support signal routing and processing.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Intermediate “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment.
      Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of circuit/transmission experience supporting the DOD
