Job Title:  Circuit Actions Technician III*

Job Location: Qatar

Security Clearance: Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance

Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship required.

Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is seeking an experienced Circuit Actions Technician III to support our on-site team based in Qatar. The ideal candidate shall perform the Circuit Actions tasks IAW DISAC 310-70-1 to support the day-to-day operations of the TCF.
Responsibilities include:

  • Engineer, install, remove, T&A, and document new circuits for the facility per the Telecommunications Service Order (TSO).
  • Prepare feeder Request for Services (RFSs) for new requirements and forward to the appropriate agencies.
  • Prepare and update cut sheets.
  • Prepare after action reports and detail outage reports.
  • Maintain historical files, circuit history folders, and develop and maintain CLR.
  • Conduct monthly trend analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Lead level “hands on” work experience installing new communications circuits. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in activating new Tech Control Facility circuits with the equipment to include the following:
    • NET Promina equipment
    • KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries
    • CISCO Routers/Switches
    • Patch panels/maintenance panels
    • Fiber optic modems and interface cards
  • Lead level of experience in circuit actions at the base, camp, station, MAJCOM, Unified Command, or Component level.
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance


  • High School Diploma

Certification Requirements:

The following current certifications are required:

  • Must meet the certification requirement of DoD 8570.01-M. The candidate is expected to have, but is not limited to, the following IT certificates:
    • Positions requires a current DoD 8570 IAT-II certificate (Security+ce, CCNA-Security, etc.)
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching or Service Provider
