Overview:

Job Title: HBSS Admininstrator

Job Location: Fort Meade, MD

Security Clearance: Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret/SSBI clearance

Due to the nature of the work and US Government requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a cleared HBSS Administrator to join our team based in Ft. Meade, MD.

Duties to include:

 

  • Build, configure, administer and maintain McAfee Host Based Security Solution (HBSS) and DISA Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) in accordance with STIG/SRG guidance, applicable Taskords, and best security practices.
  • Perform system administration of HBSS servers, including ePolicy Orchestrator upgrades and client product patches.
  • Review policies and exceptions for the various HBSS modules and provide best practice recommendations.
  • Deploy and sustain the full capabilities of HBSS to all enterprise-wide managed systems including, but not limited to, agent deployments, policy enforcement, reporting and compliance.
  • Maintain HBSS compliance with DISA, US Cyber Command, and Combatant Command operations orders (OPORDs), Fragmentary orders (FRAGOs), Change Tasking Orders (CTOs), and other DoD configuration compliance requirements.
  • Provide guidance in all aspects of HBSS support to include account setups, port enabling, deploying and loading agents, policies, and modules.
  • Monitor and ensure Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance, security and performance.
  • Perform vulnerability scans and troubleshoot / fix issues detected by the scans.
  • Review scan results and provide recommendations to systems administrators and the Cyber Security team.
  • Support the Cyber Security Team to ensure security architecture, design, and implementation is in accordance with DoD Regulations and other governing documents.
  • Perform vulnerability and risk analysis of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Conduct SCAP / STIG Viewer scans for STIG compliance checks.
  • Review Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) for applicability and impact to the range networks.
  • Engage in hands-on lab testing and development for problem resolution, new product reporting, or technical functionality.
  • Review application of STIGs and DOD configuration guidance in images for completeness and correctness.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Position requiresa a minimum of five (5) years direct experience in the last 7 years
  • Hands-on experience utilizing DoD-approved scanning/testing tools (Nessus, STIG Checker, SCAP, etc.) and performing analysis of output
  • Understanding of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800.53 security controls and control families
  • Experience with DoD cyber security applications (ACAS, HBSS, SCC)
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret/SSBI clearance

  • Due to the nature of the work and US Government requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong familiarity with coalition and multi-national information sharing systems, policies and environments
  • Strong experience working with HBSS modules and ACAS
  • Technical knowledge of multiple operating systems (Windows, UNIX), web servers-applications, databases and network appliances
  • Familiar with security control assessments, STIG Viewer and Secure Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) checklists or benchmarks
  • Knowledge of IA concepts and requirements.
  • Knowledge of the DoD A&A process and standards.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Network Engineering, Math) experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
