Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is searching for a Network Operations Center Support Analyst to support our customer, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) located at Scott AFB, IL that acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations.  This position directly supports the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in our 24x7 DISA Global Field Command (DGFC) working in our Network Operations Center (NOC).

This is an entry level position providing knowledge and training on the DoD networks and DISA Global operations.  Technicians will receive on the job training and advance to fill more technical roles within the DISA Global Field Command Network Operations Center.

  • Responsible for monitoring network outages using trouble ticketing software such as BMC Remedy for their entire lifecycle.
  • Maintain working knowledge of high visibility customer trouble tickets.
  • Analyze trouble tickets to verify past and future actions are clear and concise.
  • Monitor trouble ticket queues to ensure contractual requirements are being met.
  • Analyze report data to identify compliant and non-compliant trouble tickets.
  • Coordinate and assign daily tasks to technicians.
  • Brief government personal with trouble ticket statuses when requested.
  • Provide pass down of high interest items to oncoming supervisors (Queue Masters).
  • Consolidate Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI’s), scheduled maintenance actions, and brief on shift technicians.
  • Collaborate with functional area leads to restore network services to customers.
  • Provide situational awareness updates to customers and contract leadership for all high visibility trouble tickets.
  • Coordinate with functional area leads to ensure government requests are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Support Field Service Engineers (FSE’s) in accordance with published work instructions and standard operating procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Position requires a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Able to work shift work.
  • General understanding of network topologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver information to customers at all levels.

Desired Qualifications:

  • DoD-8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE).


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
