Security Clearance: Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance

Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship required.

Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a cleared candidate to provide support to for the United States Air Force. Under the CTSS program, Trace Systems provides operations, maintenance, administration, and management support to USAFCENT A6, 379ECS, and ODRP in CONUS and in the USCENTCOM AOR. Task areas to be supported include: Program Management, Communications Planning and Engineering, Cybersecurity, Spectrum Operations, RF Transmission, SATCOM Operations, and Logistics.

 

Trace Systems is seeking an experienced Circuit Actions Technician II to support our on-site team based in Qatar. The ideal candidate shall perform the Circuit Actions tasks IAW DISAC 310-70-1 to support the day-to-day operations of the TCF.
Responsibilities include:

  • Engineer, install, remove, T&A, and document new circuits for the facility per the Telecommunications Service Order (TSO).
  • Prepare feeder Request for Services (RFSs) for new requirements and forward to the appropriate agencies.
  • Prepare and update cut sheets.
  • Prepare after action reports and detail outage reports.
  • Maintain historical files, circuit history folders, and develop and maintain CLR.
  • Conduct monthly trend analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Intermediate level “hands on” work experience installing new communications circuits. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.
  • Intermediate experience in activating new Tech Control Facility circuits with the equipment as specified to include the following:
    • NET Promina equipment
    • KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries
    • CISCO Routers/Switches
    • Patch panels/maintenance panels
    • Fiber optic modems and interface cards
  • Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.
  • Intermediate level of experience in circuit activation at the base, camp, station, MAJCOM, Unified Command, or Component level.
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance

Education:

  • High School Diploma

Certification Requirements:

  • Candidate is expected to have, but is not limited to, the following IT certificates:
    • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
