Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a cleared candidate to provide support to for the United States Air Force. Under the CTSS program, Trace Systems provides operations, maintenance, administration, and management support to USAFCENT A6, 379ECS, and ODRP in CONUS and in the USCENTCOM AOR. Task areas to be supported include: Program Management, Communications Planning and Engineering, Cybersecurity, Spectrum Operations, RF Transmission, SATCOM Operations, and Logistics.

Trace Systems is seeking an Switchboard Operator III to support our on-site team based in the Qatar. This position requires support of commercial/telephone switches 24 hours per day/7 days per week/365 days per year (24x7x365) (around-the-clock). 

Responsibilities include:

  • Publishing and keeping current a site telephone directory
  • Managing and distributing to all customers by e-mail a quick reference guide on telephone operations and features
  • Directory assistance
  • Call direction and call transfer between DSN and local phone lines
  • Support callers from other locations in SWA and shall act as centralized operators to assist other bases with directory assistance. The Switchboard Operator III will be responsible for contacting independent sites to obtain updated phone directories as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a telephone operator handling overseas telephone calls, personnel locater service, commercial information services, customer support, conference calls, emergency calls, and maintaining call accounting databases.
  • Experience as a telephone operator on switchboard consoles.
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance


  • High School Diploma
