Job Title: Lead Information Assurance Systems Engineer

Job Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Security Clearance: An active, in-scope US Government issued: Secret Clearance

Requisition Type: Funded

Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems has an immediate opportunity for an Information Assurance Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado supporting USNORTHCOM's Deployable Communications Capabilities System (DCCS).

 

In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to manage a comprehensive Information Assurance program supporting our customer’s tactical communications network. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide customer based training based at various locations across the United States.

 

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, implement and/or integrate IA and security systems and system components including those for deployable satellite communications systems.
  • Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.
  • Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations.
  • Work independently to evaluate and solve complex IA related problems quickly and completely.
  • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software IA problems pertaining to the enclave environment.
  • Prepare and/or oversees the preparation of IA certification and accreditation documentation.
  • Develop system wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands for complex network and enclave systems.
  • Coordinate with senior representatives within the customer organizations to establish and define programs, resources and risks.
  • Provide end user IA support for all computer equipment operating systems, peripherals, and applications
  • Maintain network security and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
  • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software for IA problems
  • Conduct tests of IA safeguards in accordance with established test plans and procedures
  • Understand and implement technical vulnerability corrections.
  • Examine potential security violations to determine if Department of Defense policy has been breached, assess the impact, and preserve evidence.
  • Work with partners, customers and stakeholders to configure, optimize, and test network servers, routers, and switches to ensure compliance with security policy, procedures, and technical requirements.

Salary Minimum:   $100,000

Salary Maximum:  $133,000

 

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Trace salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, Trace provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, flexible spending accounts, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, company holidays and paid time off (PTO).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An active, in-scope US Government issued: Secret Clearance
  • 5+ years of experience providing Information Assurance support on deployable satellite communications systems
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level III (CISSP, CASP, CCNP etc) or IAM Level II (CASP, CISM, CISSP) certification
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required. 
  • Due to contractual requirements, candidate must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field is required.
