Overview:

Job Title: Logistics Support Specialist

Job Location: Kuwait

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistical functions as supply management, maintenance, transportation, logistics automation, and resources in achieving efficient and effective logistical support to the Brigade and its subordinate Battalions.
  • Ensure Monthly reports (Hand Receipts, Cyclic Inventories, Sensitive Items Inventory) are provided to the units 
  • Ensure Commanders are provided with copies of the Universal Resource Locator (URL).
  • Modify Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) and how to request changes to the MTOE/ TDA.
  • Support the Property Book Officer (PBO) in ensuring that 100% accountability of equipment is maintained, all authorized equipment is on hand IAW MTOE/ Table of Distribution Allowances (TDA), and all equipment requests are on valid requisitions or on redistribution orders.
  • Support the PBO in managing Excess Equipment and redistributing throughout the Brigade.
  • Support the Government PBO in collecting/maintaining the 160th Signal Brigade property book and hand receipts utilizing GCSS-Army, Logistics Army Authorization Document System (LOGTAADS), MTOE and TDA, AEISP, AEISP LMR, Common Table of Allowances (CTA), SB 700-20.
  • Ensure all supporting documents is filed IAW ARIMS; i.e. Lateral Transfer (DA Form 3161), DA 2404, DA 2407, DA Form 5504, DA 5988-E, DA 2062, SF 153, DD Form 250, DA Form 2765-1, DA Form 1348-1A, DA Form 1348-6, DD Form 200, Monthly Hand Receipts, Cyclic Hand Receipts, Sensitive Hand Receipts.
  • Ensure documentation is correct, verify serial numbers, National Stock Numbers (NSN), verify AESIP Non- Standard LIN/ NSN, Line Item Numbers(LIN) and Nomenclatures prior to issuing equipment to the gaining activity. 
  • Knowledge of governing supply regulations (AR 710-1, AR 710-2, AR 710-3, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1, DA PAM 710-2-2, CTA’s and NETCOM Reg. 710-2) policies, processes and procedures issued by DA,ARCENT, NETCOM the parent command and the Brigade to ensure compliance and execution of all assigned logistics matters.
  • Track transportation shipments in AESIP Parts Tracker by TCN, RFID tag or GCSS- Army generated Document Number and commercial pipeline (i.e., vendor tracking systems) and take action expedite delivery, when required. 
  • Support the Government in managing the Army Non-Tactical Vehicle Program within the Brigade in accordance with AR 58-1. 
  • Prepare Transportation Control and Movement Documents (TCMD) DD Form 1149-1750, and Load Plans IAW DOD Directive (DoDD) 4500.36 and DoDD 4500.09 to appropriate agencies as required for shipping Government equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Support the government who manages the Container Management Program IAW ARCENT Policy, i.e. generate container placards and load plans
  • Knowledgeable of all aspects of transportation processes to facilitate pax and cargo movement within Theater of operations (such as Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES), Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES), Transport Coordination – Automated Information Management System – II (TC-AIMS-II), and Global Air Transportation
    Execution System (GATES).
  • Prepare and after Government approval ship Government equipment, supplies and material via Central Receiving & Supply Point (CRSP), Official Mail, US Post Office and or any Port of Embarkation(POE).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: An active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience is required.
  • Possession of a motor vehicle license.
  • Have an active Warehouse (LIW) account.
  • Have an active Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP) Logistics Information.
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and GCSS-Army reports.
  • GCSS- Army Property Book 40 hour certification and GCSSS- Army 40 hour Maintenance certification is required.

Education:

  • A minimum High School diploma or GED is required.
