Overview:

Job Title: Communications Security (COMSEC) Technical Manager

Job Location: Camp Humphries, South Korea

Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is seeking a Communications Security (COMSEC) Technical Manager to join our team in Camp Humpries, South Korea. The Communications Security (COMSEC) Technical Manager will lead key COMSEC technical management tasks including tracking of cryptographic and non-cryptographic equipment, providing technical support to US Pacific Command (PACOM) headquarters and the USFK J6.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of key management plans for US-provided cryptographic equipment.
  • Develop and review documentation, policy, and agreements between the US and Republic of Korea (ROK).
  • Support COMSEC Account Manager Course (CAMC) and Key Management Infrastructure Management Client (KMI MGC) completion/qualification.
  • Prepare and manage Third Party Transfers (TPT), Ship Rider Requests (SRR), Temporary Equipment Transfers (TET), Combined Interoperability Requirement (CIR), and COMSEC Release Request (CRR).
  • Ensure COMSEC Division compliance with all relevant policies and standards including US National Policy, DoD guidelines, US Army Regulations, and Joint Staff Directives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An active, in-scope US Government issued Current Secret clearance.

  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

  • Minimum 2 years’ of experience maintaining accountability and control of Communications Security (COMSEC) or Cryptographic Controlled Items (CCIs) to include experience in processing received materials, hand receipting materials, and destroying superseded materials.
  • Expert understanding of DoD policies and procedures governing US COMSEC products including the receipt and distribution of COMSEC products to foreign nations.
  • Experience utilizing Destruction Certificates (DECERTS), Key Variable Management (KVM) worksheets, and LMD/KP.
  • Experience utilizing devices such AN/CYZ-10 (DTD), KIK-20 (SDS), and AN/PYQ-10 (SKL).
  • Willingness to travel on and off peninsula to attend meetings and working groups and to conduct security inspections.

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • Training certification for Local Communications Security (COMSEC) Management
  • Training certification for Standardized COMSEC Custodian Course (SCCC)
